A NEW SEASON

February is around the corner and we are finally getting settled into 2018. Today's post marks something special because February marks ONE month since I started SHORT + ENOUGH and ONE year since I moved to San Francisco! Reflecting back, this time one year ago, I didn't have a job and I was beginning to lose hope that no one wanted to actually hire me. I had worked hard for five years in architecture school and it was still so difficult. Doubt and fear was very present in my life. Similarly, I have a lot of doubt about this blog too. Is it worth it to continue and how can I bring valuable content? How do I challenge myself every time?

A year ago, I was doubtful about my job and living situation. Now, I'm pleasured to report that I have a job and am living in such an amazing city. I'm still trying to get the hang of things and I want to continue to meet new people in this place I now call home. I know that the same doubt that I have about this blog will also dissipate one day as long as I work hard. It's a strange time because blogging is really new to me, but I'm excited to execute creative ideas that I haven't been able to before. I seriously have so many ideas bottled up in my head and I cannot wait to show you guys. It's been a while since I've been able to express myself creatively and just thinking about it gives me the goosebumps!

Because of this new season, I've decided to get out of my comfort zone even more. Being in front of the camera has never been easy for me because I don't know how to pose and I can be so awkward. I'm more use to being behind the scenes, which is exactly why I contacted a local photographer to help me! Jasmin, was so friendly and I felt comfortable right away. It was the first time when someone who wasn't a friend from home who photographed me, but I felt like we have known each other for a long time! She really made it so fun! Please enjoy these photos that she took! More to come in the upcoming posts. :)

About the Outfit

San Francisco's weather is pretty mild, but it can get chilly! That's why I'm loving this crop top because it allows ventilation but it's also a long sleeved shirt. It was also only $12. TWELVE. I'm super short so most crop tops just look like normal shirts on me and most normal length shirts looks like dresses on me. So I was pleasantly surprised that this was actually cropped on me. It's comfortable and easy to wear. Also, isn't it funny that I'm wearing a shirt that says Tokyo but I'm in San Francisco? (Haha probably not that funny, but I can laugh at my own terrible jokes!) A cropped top with high waisted pants is always a full proof combination!

I'm also loving my shoes because they remind me of sock boots, but give my ankles a bit more breathing room. I own mostly (all) black clothing and shoes so the patent leather (which has been having a hot comeback in the fashion world) plus the suede peaked my interest. Their different textures allowed for them to pop and contrast each other despite both being the same color. They're unique and have a chunky heel that makes it comfortable to walk in.

If I had to sum this outfit up in a couple of words, it would be: comfy chic. I would wear this while going on errands, lounging around, or hanging out with my cat -- I mean with my friends!
