In our culture today, so many people are all about who is in which squad. Some people were surprised that Gigi Hadid hung out with Taylor Swift. Selena Gomez had a squad and then there was drama about who was in it. And apparently people have time to check and see which celebrities follow each other and then UN-follow them. I don't really get it since I don't keep up with celebrity news, but I do understand that they're just human beings who want to be surrounded by amazing people.

And I am, like Taylor Swift and Ellen DeGeneres and all celebrities, am a human being. That's probably where the similarities end because I can't sing, model, not be awkward in front of a camera, etc. (Weird analogy, but I'm trying my best here!) Like many, I want to be surrounded by people who are like-minded and inspiring. I want you to meet two people who have provided me with so much support and encouragement over the years. They're not only wonderful friends, but also beautiful people on the inside and outside!

Also please enjoy these photos that I took of them. It's been a while since I held a camera and did some editing, but it was so much fun to get back into it. I'll do my best to improve!

Meet my two friends, Tiff and Tiff. (PS. Their last names also start with the same letter!) Tiff has been a friend of mine for so many years and Tiff and I met only a couple years ago on July 4! (Are you confused yet with the Tiff's?)

These two individuals have had such an impact on my journey to making this blog. They were there when I first mentioned I wanted to start a blog. Then months later, I asked one of them if they would be willing to do a photoshoot with me where I could practice using the camera and editing photos. Within minutes, she replied yes to my text! Next thing I remembered was hopping on a plane to visit and she mentioned that Tiff was going to help out and take photos of us! I was ecstatic because she's an amazing photographer and fun to work with! Also because I was highly doubtful about my own camera skills. It was nice to have a friend who happens to be a pro with me.

They were also there when I didn't start my blog for months even after the photoshoot. Regardless, Tiff and Tiff were patient and still helped me along the way. They were there when I did my first post almost a month ago here, encouraging me and pushing me forward even more. They were also there when I told them I would be writing about them. They were honored and gave me their blessing. These two are on the other side of the country doing amazing things, but they know that if I had a squad, they'd be in it. Plus, we all share the same love for food, especially the Trader Joe's Herb & Spices Popcorn (THE BEST).

Surround Yourself

The point I'm trying to make is you don't need a thousand friends. You only need a circle of a few really close friends who are willing to push you in the right direction. These two have inspired me to pursue something I've always wanted but was too afraid to chase after. Now that I've started, I want to put my best foot forward and show them (and everyone else) what I am capable of. They are pursuing what they love, whether it be dance or photography, and their passion and dedication have propelled me to do the same. It's hard to find friends who are willing to help and challenge you. When you do find them, bribe them with food so they'll stay friends with you. They're worth holding onto!
