Keep Going
Hi everyone!
I hope your week is going well so far. I just came back from an AMAZING weekend trip in Tahoe. It was so relaxing and the views were beautiful. Don't worry, I will be blogging about my trip soon! Today's post is going to be a fairly short one. To be honest, I did slack off this week because I was having so much fun while relaxing that I just didn't want to do any work. But my vacation is over and it's time to get back at it!
Do not Lose Momentum!
Can you believe that it is already almost March? It's crazy that 2018 is flying by. But do you remember your New Years goals? I remember the gym that I go to was extremely packed right after January 1st and now the crowd has dwindled down. Do not give up on your goals because if you truly want it, you'll work for it. I'm guilty of losing momentum too! I started this blog right after the New Year and I was on a roll. Working hard to promote it and thinking of new content is difficult and challenging. As a matter of fact, I also have been losing steam because I've been juggling a bunch of other things as well. I started being less active, putting off my to-do list for my blog, and engaged with less people in the blogging community. Do what it takes to start building up that steam again! For me, bullet journaling has been a great way to keep track of literally everything I do! Perhaps having a planner or setting reminders on your phone will help you achieve your tasks that will eventually reach your goals.
Remember Why
We are well into 2018 now and some people have lost their motivation. Some are burnt out. Some are tired. Some are bored, perhaps. I almost didn't post this week, but I made a commitment for 3 months of weekly posting. And I WILL stick to it. Remember the goals that you wrote down or kept in your head. If you're lacking motivation, get inspiration. If you want to be fit or stronger, watch some workout videos. If you want to be challenged creatively, go look at some artists' portfolios. Remember your goals and WHY you want to achieve them. You do not have to wait for the next new calendar year to "restart" your goals. Everyday is a new day, week, month, etc. JUST DO IT. Do not wait (again).
It's okay to take a break!
Powering through is awesome because consistency is key! Building a habit is also crucial. But if you are mentally and/or physically tired, take a break. If every muscle in your body is aching from your workouts, take a break. If you're SO sick of eating chicken and broccoli everyday, it is OKAY to have a cheat meal once in a while. You won't lose progress over one (or two) donuts. You gotta feed your soul too. If you are burnt out, just take a few hours, days, etc to recharge! It's okay to take a break because it will charge you up with more ideas, motivation, etc. But remember to jump back in with integrity, determination, and even more grit than every before!
