Anette's Chocolates
Downtown Napa, California
Nestled in Downtown Napa, this family owned chocolate store downsized from over a 1,200 sq ft footprint to one that is only 670 sq ft. A "dripping" chocolate feature wall became the main focal point with retail shelves on the opposite wall. A curving chocolate display case complimented the feature wall, directing circulation into the space. As a customer enters the space, he or she is greeted by the chocolate display case and then pays at the cash register, a piece of millwork that aesthetically contrasts the display case. Instead of lined with copper penny tile, it is lined with a white penny tile and allows the main chocolate case to pop in the space. Behind it are chocolate storage cabinets that are specifically cooled with a separate system.
